About Barry Strudwick
Barry Strudwick is president of Strudwick Wealth Strategies, an investment counseling and portfolio management firm serving an international client base. Barry also heads the firm’s investment committee and serves as the lead portfolio manager on investment portfolios for over 250 clients. In addition, he is an experienced real estate investor having served as both a general partner and investor in resort properties in the United States, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Belize.
In 2001, as a result of his economic analysis on the impact of globalization and the demographic wave of aging Baby Boomers, Barry made a strategic decision to diversify his activities to include real estate investment in Central America. He currently travels extensively in Central America as both a speaker and investor with over 45 trips to Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Belize in the past 3 years. This “on the ground” approach has resulted in his being the general manager of the 1000 acre Del Pacifico Golf & Beach Resort in Costa Rica and he is the Managing Partner of Costa Reit Partners, LLC a private land banking partnership with over 2,000 acres in Central America.
For 13 years, Barry was host of the public radio show, Mutual Perspectives™ which featured interviews with the world’s leading financial & investment experts. In addition, he has published over 500 articles and columns on personal and corporate wealth strategies. Barry’s comments on the market are frequently cited in such diverse publications as The Nikkei Times in Tokyo to CNBC and The Investment News. He holds degrees from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and The Wharton Graduate School of Finance at The University of Pennsylvania.
About Stacey Murray
Stacey Murray joined the Strudwick Team in September 2006 as a client development manager. Stacey works directly with Barry in different aspects of the business including marketing and prospecting. She is a graduate of Towson University earning her BA degree in English with a minor in Spanish. Her last position was with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation where she was employed as a Director of Special Events. She continues to serve on the Foundation's Maryland Board of Directors and is involved in other charitable organizations.
About Melissa Long
Melissa Long has been with SWS since December 2005 and is the behind-the-scenes person. Along with Stacey, you can contact her to get account information, accounts opened, transferred, money sent out, etc. While she studied biotechnology and computer science at Worcester Polytech, she has been working in finance and accounting since her middle school job as a bookkeeping assistant for her father's business. Her time in engineering school however, has made her the default IT person at Strudwick.
About Candice Martin
Candice Martin joined the Strudwick team in October of 2006 as an Executive Assistant to Mr. Barry Strudwick. She has taken on the task of keeping him organized. If you need to get a hold of Barry, Candice is the key! She has over six years of experience as an executive assistant and her last position was with Camden Partners as an Executive Assistant to one of the partners.
